Welcome to Glenhaven Welsh Ponies, Cobs and Sports Ponies.. Glenhaven was established in 1988
and is the largest importer in North America. We
specialize in quality small, medium and large hunter ponies,
both pure bred, part bred and colored. Our pure bred cobs and
cob crosses are ideal as field hunter, jumpers, eventers and
pleasure mounts. Our breeding stock was imported from Wales
and we have over 25 broodmares and 8 stallions.
Glenhaven is unique in that it is the
only stud which has stood 11 imported stallions from all four
sections of the Welsh Stud Book. Our stock has won six National High Point Championships and
continue to breed Champion stock both in Welsh and Open shows
- see "Something to Crow About" page.
The 200 acre farm is conveniently situated in Orange County,
Virginia, about 16 miles south of Culpeper in the heart of pony country. We
are one hour and fifteen minutes from Dulles Washington
airport.
Visitors are most welcome to come and view the stallions,
mares
and
ponies for sale.
Dr. John Moody is the resident
veterinarian. The farm has also been approved by
the USDA as a quarantine facility for imported animals. Cooled
semen is available from our stallions
year round.
