with return of contract. (Non - refundable, Non - transferable) BOARD: Cost of board is $______________ per day. All board fees are due and payable in full at time of mare's departure. Any mare boarded for an extended period of time, boarding charges will be due and payable on the 1st of each month. Any board account not paid within 30 days will be subject to a 1½% per month service fee. In the event it is not paid in 90 days Glenhaven may retain possession of mare and/or foal and take whatever measures needed to recover unpaid balance and added charges until account is paid in full. Mares that are not halter broke will not be accepted. LIABILITY: All reasonable efforts will be made to provide visiting mares and foals with proper care to insure their health and safety. How ever, stallion owners, or their representatives shall not be held liable for any accident, injury, disease or death to the mare, foal to be born or foal currently at her side LFG:
If you have chosen to pay the LFG stud fee, the following conditions apply. If the mare should, abort the
fetus, fail to conceive or lose the foal within 48 hours of birth, (a
veterinary certificate is required within 14 days), the mare owner is entitled to a free
return to the stallion exclusive of any expenses (i.e. booking fee, vet
package/costs, board) save the actual stud fee.
From the date of this contract, the mare owner has two consecutive seasons in which to exercise the LFG
option. This option is non-transferable and subject to the availability of
the stallion. AVAILABILITY OF STALLION: Glenhaven endeavors to accommodate the breeding schedule of the mare owners but cannot guarantee the availability of a particular stallion on a specific day due to the demand for the stallion and the showing season. ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION: Whenever possible, the stallion owner requires no less than 48 hours notice to ship semen. Glenhaven cannot be held responsible for semen that is delayed or lost due to inefficiency of the shippers. All collection and shipping costs are at the mare owners expense and must be paid by a credit card prior to the shipping of the container. There will be no exceptions. This can be done by Visa or MasterCard. A deposit of $350 will be held on the container and a late charge of $10 per day charged starting 5 days after collection. PLEASE NOTE: Glenhaven strives to send two breeding doses per shipment but because of the demand for the stallion at the time, Glenhaven reserves the right to send one breeding dose per shipment. OUTSIDE MARES: Mares must have a veterinary certificate stating that they have been vaccinated within 6 months of arriving at the farm for EEE, WEE, INFLUENZA, TETNUS, POTOMAC HORSE FEVER, WNV, STRANGLES, RHINO, a current negative COGGINS prior to arriving at Glenhaven. Horses will not be allowed on the farm unless they have fulfilled these requirements. Account must be paid IN FULL prior to the mare leaving Glenhaven farm.
